| Orientation |
| Begin by reading
Chapter 5 in Black, Learn (32-38).
There is very little new grammar in
this module. Instead, there is an inordinate amount of morphology
to learn. This module will
require some extensive memorization of endings. But if you put a
lot of effort into it, it will really pay off in the long run. Once
you know both of the first two declensions, you will have learned
how to identify the forms of a great number of nouns in the Greek
New Testament. |

Module Notes |
| These module notes
supplement material in Black, Learn, Chapter 5.
There are five subsets of first
declension inflection. The first three concern feminine nouns, while
the remaining two concern masculine nouns.
(1) Feminine
First Declension Nouns
(2) Masculine
First Declension Nouns
(3) Plural
Endings of the First Declension
(4) The
Definite Article

Since we will be
studying mostly feminine nouns, I thought it would be appropriate to
feature this mosaic of the so-called Mona Lisa of Galilee
found at Sepphoris.
