PLUPERFECT ACTIVE INDICATIVE

Pluerfect Active Indicative Inflection

The pluperfect active indicative is made up of at least five morph slots: (1) the augment morph slot; (2) the reduplication morph; (3) the lexal morph; (3) the aspect morph, which is kei for pluperfect verbs); and (4) the suffix, which will be one of the secondary active suffixes.

Translating the Pluperfect Active Indicative

The pluperfect tense is normally translated into English with the auxiliary verb "had" coupled with the English past participle (e.g., "found," "taught," "gone," etc.).

They committed them to the Lord, in whom they had believed (Acts  14:23).

At times the pluperfect may also be translated with the simple past tense in English.
